Omuramba Hunting Lodge, a Herero
name meaning “dry river-bed”, is owned by us,
Gert and Alta Koekemoer, third generation of Namibian and Dutch origin.
Omuramba Hunting Lodge is a small
thatched oasis nestling in a large private game
reserve with a private atmosphere, situated about 140km north-east of
Gobabis and about 4 hour’s drive from Hosea Kutako International
Airport.
It is a wildlife paradise (33 000ha) of
beautiful thorn bush savannah with excellent hunting opportunities and a
private family atmosphere. It is important to us that our hunting
guests get looked after personally and individually. Omuramba harbours more
than
20 species of wildlife including Warthog, Kudu, Eland, Oryx, Hartebeest,
Springbuck, Giraffe, Blue and Black wildebeest and many more. We also
offer a variety of other activities, such as horse and camel riding.
The farm is also truly a hiker’s paradise with beautiful
scenery and sunsets.
